Aheata FAQ - Battery Heated Clothing Questions Answered
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Aheata battery heated clothing & gear.
Aheata makes rechargeable battery heated clothing — jackets, vests, base layers, gloves, headwear, insoles, and heated bedding — that deliver on-demand warmth at the press of a button. Below are the questions we hear most. Still stuck? Contact us and a real person will help.
How long do Aheata batteries last on a charge?
It depends on the heat setting. On the lowest setting most 7V apparel runs 10+ hours; on medium around 5 hours; on high (the warmest) about 2–3 hours. Heated insoles run up to 6+ hours on low and about 2+ hours on high. Lower settings always last longer, so use the lowest level that keeps you comfortable to maximize runtime.
What's the difference between the 5V and 7V batteries?
Aheata heated socks use a slim 5V 2400mAh battery. Almost all other Aheata heated gear — jackets, vests, shirts, gloves, mittens, balaclava, and scarf — uses a 7V battery, available in 2200mAh, 3350mAh, and 5000mAh capacities. The two are not interchangeable, so always match the voltage to your product. Higher mAh means longer runtime. See all options in our batteries collection.
Can I wash my Aheata heated clothing?
Most Aheata heated apparel and headwear is machine washable — but you must remove the battery first. Disconnect and take out the power bank, then follow the care label (typically a gentle cold cycle, air dry). Never wash the battery or charger. Heated insoles and the digital-controller bedding should be wiped or spot-cleaned per their product instructions rather than fully submerged.
How hot does Aheata gear actually get?
It varies by product and setting. Heated apparel reaches up to 135°F, while heated insoles, gloves, mittens, balaclava, and scarf reach up to 150°F on high. Each product has three (or four, on bedding) heat levels so you can choose gentle, steady warmth or maximum heat.
Are the heated insoles one-size, and will they fit my boots?
The Aheata Rechargeable Heated Insoles come in two cut-to-fit sizes: S/M (Men's 4–9, Women's 5.5–10) and L/XL (Men's 9.5+, Women's 10.5+). They include a trim guide so you can cut them down to match your exact shoe or boot size. They're ultra-thin and fit most footwear including work boots, hunting boots, and ski boots. Shop them in heated footwear.
Is Aheata heated clothing safe to wear?
Yes. Aheata uses low-voltage rechargeable batteries (5V and 7V) and regulated heating elements. Bedding products add overheat protection with automatic shut-off. Always use the included charger, don't wash batteries, and disconnect the battery when the product isn't in use. If a battery is ever damaged or swollen, stop using it.
Can I wear the heated base layer under a jacket?
Absolutely — that's what it's designed for. The Aheata Heated Base Layer Shirt has a slim athletic fit that layers easily under jackets, hoodies, workwear, and outdoor gear. Wear it on its own in cool weather, or as the warming layer of a full winter system when it's brutally cold.
Do the gloves and insoles really come with a remote?
Yes. The heated gloves, mittens, and rechargeable insoles include a wireless remote so you can change heat settings without fumbling for the battery button — especially handy with gloves on or boots laced up. The heated socks also include a remote control.
How long does it take to charge the batteries?
Most Aheata 7V battery kits fully charge in about 4–6 hours, and the 4 LED indicators show charging status and remaining battery life. We recommend charging fully before first use and keeping at least 25% charge when storing batteries long-term to protect their lifespan.
Will the gear work in rain or snow?
Aheata gloves, mittens, and outerwear use water-resistant shells that handle snow and light rain, and the insoles are water-resistant for wet or snowy conditions. They are water-resistant, not fully waterproof — so they're built for winter weather but shouldn't be submerged.
What's covered by the warranty?
Every Aheata order includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If something isn't working right, contact us with your order details and we'll make it right. For returns and exchanges, see our Shipping & Returns page.
Can I buy replacement or spare batteries?
Yes. Spare and replacement 5V and 7V battery & charger kits are available in our batteries collection. A spare pack is the easiest way to double your time outdoors — swap in a fresh battery when the first runs down.
